DOMMELEN/WAALRE – 13th of July 2009 – InBev Nederland has purchased two new Duotank beer trucks to deliver the beer to the establishments with cellar tank beer. A collective piece of workmanship by three companies settled in the region of Eindhoven: the trucks are delivered by DAF, the composition is constructed by Duotank in Waalre and the beer tank trucks will be utilized by the InBev brewery established in Dommelen. “Even more hotel and catering establishments change over to tank beer”, says John Ploeg, Manager Logistic Cellar Beer at InBev Nederland. “The establishment has a number of tanks, mostly in the cellar, that are filled by a beer tank truck. This way is environmental friendly because you do hardly need packing materials and it is much better for the health of our drivers compared to the lugging with big and heavy barrels. Besides, we are proud that Dommelsch introduced this system in the 80’s at first on the Dutch market”. 50.000 glasses of beer The base for the new cellar beer trucks is the chassis of the DAF CF75 and the composition constructed by Duotank. The tank in the truck has two beer compartments with a content of 6.000 liters each, that means that the volume of 50.000 glasses of beer can be transported at once. “The big advantage of the Duotanker is that two sorts of beer can be taken at one ride”, says John Ummels, Sales Engineer of Duotank. “This offers the brewery the freedom to plan the deliveries as efficient as possible, so less rides are needed, which leads directly to cost savings. Besides, it is better for the environment. The beer tank truck including the maximum load of 12.000 liters of beer, weighs about 27 tons.
