For years now, Duotank holds the U- and UM-stamp. The U-stamp determines that Duotank can manufacture pressure vessels at our own workshop. The UM-stamp states that Duotank is also allowed to manufacture miniature pressure vessels at our own workshop. In the Netherlands, the UM-stamp is only granted to three companies. Of these three, only Duotank is a specialist for the beverage and food industry.
ASME is an engineering society and a standards organization that uses its standards and codes in order to create safer pressure vessels. ASME has designed the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BVPC) in order to guide and control the design, fabrication and inspection of boilers and pressure vessels. Once a company is granted a stamp from the BVPC it is reviewed every one to three years, based on the type of stamp.
The certifications from ASME mean that a company can design, manufacture and inspect certain types of boilers and pressure vessels. ASME stamps are worldwide recognized as the standard when it comes to certifications regarding pressure valves. In many countries the stamps are required in order to be allowed to ship pressure vessels into the specified country.
