These tanks are suitable for use outside a cold room. The inner shell is always made of stainless steel. The outer shells are available in a number of materials, namely black plastic (PU jacket), stainless steel (polished or sandblasted) or copper (old-look or polished).
For cooling purposes, the tanks need a standard water or glycol refrigeration system, similar to the ones used under the bar (cask system). Duotank does recommend that a Grundfos water circulation pump is used to supply the tanks and beer lines with cold water or glycol.
The above equipment is all you need for a complete Duotank system for storing / lagering your beer outside a cold room.
Requirements: Using tanks in pubs and bars as eye-catchers
Once you have the above system and want to connect the tanks to the beer taps, you simply need a beer distribution cap. This is mounted on the piercing unit and fitted with a check valve to guarantee that no contamination in the beer line can return to the tank. Thanks to the unique Bag-In-Tank system, no air or additional carbon dioxide enter the beer. As a result, the beer can be kept in good condition for much longer, even when the tank is connected to the tap.
The result is a beautiful addition to the interior of any pub or bar:
